Stop-over and Group gîtes

For the fun of being together ...

These gîtes can accommodate between 12 and 50 people and are particularly suitable for groups of friends or families who want to get together for a weekend or longer holiday. They are also ideal for seminars, school nature class outings, sports training or as nightly stop-over accommodation for hikers, cyclists and horse/pony trekkers...

All of these gîtes have the following :

- Living rooms/areas
- Sleeping accommodation in bedrooms or dormitories with comfortable beds (bed linen supplied in some gîtes)
- Private or communal bathrooms.


Depending upon the gîte selected, there is a fully equipped kitchen for your use (self-catering) or catering is done by the owner (meals, packed lunches, etc.). Its setting is always good, with lots of opportunity to enjoy peace and quiet and the great outdoors. You can be sure of a warm welcome, lots of practical help if required and the chance to get to know the owners and to learn something about their way of life. The architecture of our gîtes is as varied as the other attractions they have to offer. Wherever you choose to stay you will be able to enjoy outdoor pursuits and to explore all that each region has to offer.

All Gîtes de France stop-over & group gîtes are classified in accordance with their setting, the level of comfort and services they offer. They are all checked and if necessary reclassified every 4 years. They are always checked if they have been the subject of a complaint.

Stop-over gîtes :

  • - 1 épi : living room, dining area, equipped kitchen/kitchen area open to residents
  • - 2 épi : telephone available, drying room, storeroom, maximum 50 % of sleeping accommodation with wooden partitions
  • - 3 épi : lounge area or activity room, dishwasher, tumble-drier, bed linen and towels supplied on request.

Group gîtes :

  • - 1 épi : living room, dining area, lounge area or activity room. No partitioned off sleeping areas.
  • - 2 épi : telephone available, drying room, storeroom.
  • - 3 épi : adjoining garden or equipped outdoor area, books, board games or musical instruments, dishwasher & tumble-drier, bed linen and towels supplied on request.
